Meet the Owner

Our owner, Janice Dewdney, is an award winning childcare provider whose passion for delivering outstanding quality childcare has been recognised at a national level. 

In 2003 Janice founded the Bakers Ground Play Area Action Group and raised £100,000 for a fully inclusive Childrens Play Area in Stoke Gifford.

In 2005 Janice Dewdney was awarded an Outstanding from Ofsted during her Childminding Inspection, this was hard earnt and well deserved. 

In 2006 Ofsted published a list of the leading childcare providers in England, Janice Dewdney's name was on this list, in the same year Janice was also a finalist in Childminder of the Year. 

In 2007 Janice Dewdney's work was celebrated by Christine Gilbert, Her Majesty's Chief Inspector Ofsted. 

In 2008 Janice Dewdney was elected to the board of 4Children as a trustee director, a role she continues to serve in.

In 2009 Janice opened her first day nursery and then broke her ankle spectacularly whilst visiting Wales just 6 days later. 

In 2010 Janice will be attending the Queen's Royal Garden Party with her husband.
